Goodbye Arizona

Well, for a while anyway. When we go home to Alberta next week we will have been here for 182 days straight, the maximum allowed for one visit  per  US immigration rules for Canadians. It is only 90 days for visitors from most other countries.
The rules also only allow us to be here for a maximum of 182 days per calender year and when we leave on April 24th we will already have used up 115 days of our 2012 quota leaving a total of 67 days for the rest of the year.
We need to budget at least 7 days  in Anacortes to get the boat launched and organised in the spring and put into storage in the Fall which, most years, means we can then spend part  of November and all of  December back in Arizona.
This year however we want to spend time in Southeast Alaska but have to recognise that every day we spend there is a day less we can spend in Arizona. Now if the weather is decent and we can enjoy the fantastic Alaska scenery then it will all be well worth it. On the other hand if we run into days and weeks of Alaska's notorious "liquid sunshine" we may well have a crew mutiny to deal with as the choices become starkly obvious.
Alaska rain plus Alberta November snow versus  Arizona  November sunshine.

Weather permitting we would like to spend about 30 to 40 days in Alaska but we will just have to see how it goes when we get there
After all these years we finally broke down and purchased a video camera, a Sony Camcorder, and have been figuring out how to use it and how to upload and download videos. Becoming a real "techie" now that I am retired and have nothing better to do with my time!!

Anyway here goes the first attempt--------------------

OOOOOOPs  cannot get the video to post, will try  again later!!!
